In Target's case, I guess they didn't register theirs...to do just that, defeat the MANUFACTURER's barcode.
Now, if I have this correct, if Target would register their own barcode and place it overtop the MANUFACTURER's barcode, by "clicking" on TARGET's barcode the Target shopper will then go to a website w/ info TARGET wants them to see.
Somebody out there, please correct me if I'm wrong. I still haven't graduated from NEOM University. Got another five years...you know how that goes! ;)
