Dr Harris first received the Denguecide trasnsfer a year sgo. She reported her first results in August, 2010. They were fantastic. 50%+ efficacy for a disease that had 100% lethality. My understanding is that she wanted to tweak the Cide for higher efficiency and to be able to treat basic and hemorrhagic versions simultaneously. It would seem that in the intervening six months there would have been developments that could have been reported in San Juan. With that track record it makes sense to me to go ahead with an IND for Denguecide. If the results presented are verified by the FDA there is no reason they should not approve. Further tweaking after that can be sumitted for the "New and Improved" version. Am I missing something here?
