Can't we just give JJ a shovel and tell him to start digging? If there's gold in those hills then find it. Use the gold to pay for greater means to dig. Slowly build your bullion reserve and grow conservatively. Why look for outside investment if it's such a solid truth that there's a lot of gold in Alto de Lipangue?

If I can drive to Home Depot and pickup 10 day laborers, I'm sure JJ can find 1000 in an economically depressed region of the world such as Chile, buy them each a shovel, and pay them a living wage. Couldn't 1000 people dig up some precious metals? It'd be a worthy business effort. Certainly more efficient than trying (ahem) to score JVAs or investment from the heretofore experienced unprofessional (and undisclosed) consortiums.
