Dickinson said the company eliminated all contingent consideration liabilities, raised capital, and reduced net leverage from 2.59x to 1.47x adjusted EBITDA—giving the business a firmer platform for growth. The company’s non-financial KPIs also moved in a positive direction, with cross-selling increasing and more than 50% of optimisation clients returning for additional services. Inspired is now serving 420 clients with optimisation support. Tolu Minerals CEO reveals 8 new targets at Mt Pence and talks initial gold production at Tolukuma

Tolu Minerals Ltd CEO Iain Macpherson talked with Proactive about the company’s initial gold production at the Tolukuma Gold Mine in Papua New Guinea. While not commercial output yet, Macpherson explained that gold from commissioning demonstrates proof of concept and marks the start of larger-scale activity. The company is leveraging existing infrastructure valued at around AU$500 million, with a strategy focused on addressing previous cost pressures that led to mine closure. “The mine shut down, not because the resource ran out... but because they were faced with severe cost pressures,” Macpherson said, citing diesel dependence and lack of road access. Macpherson highlighted Tolu’s capital program and extensive exploration footprint across the broader Tolukuma structure. He detailed the utility of airborne magnetotelluric (MT) surveys, which provide deep, three-dimensional geophysical data. “It gives you a very good three-dimensional picture... and enhances target generation,” he said, noting this method’s success in similar geologies globally. Quantum Base to list on AIM with £5M IPO plan

Quantum Base CEO Tom Taylor joined Stephen Gunnion in the Proactive studio with more about the company’s upcoming listing on the AIM market and its breakthrough anti-counterfeiting technology. Quantum Base, founded in 2013 as a spin-out from Lancaster University, has developed an atomic fingerprint that offers 100% secure authentication of goods, scannable with any smartphone. “It tells you 100% if something is real or it's fake,” Taylor said, describing the technology as a major leap in the fight against counterfeiting. Taylor explained that the technology has applications across sectors including brand protection, pharmaceuticals, tax stamps, banknotes, passports and even aerospace parts. The firm is already working with clients globally—from North America to the Middle East—and targeting both commercial brands and government organisations. The IPO is expected to raise £5 million, with £4.70 million already committed and trading set to begin on Friday under the ticker QUBE. The retail offer remains open. “We really want to grow… AIM really helps us grow,” Taylor said, noting the listing will support product development and expansion into new verticals. Key uses of the funds will include expanding Quantum Base’s commercial team and scaling its product reach into global markets. Trevi Therapeutics advances cough treatment pipeline, eyes key clinical milestones

Trevi Therapeutics CEO Jennifer Good joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company’s progress in advancing its cough treatment pipeline using nalbuphine, a mixed agonist-antagonist opioid. Originally developed for acute indications, nalbuphine is now being repurposed due to its dual mechanism of action, working both peripherally in the lungs and centrally in the brainstem, offering a novel approach to treating chronic cough disorders. Trevi initially explored multiple indications, including skin conditions caused by severe itching and neurological cough. However, compelling clinical data led the company to focus on cough-related indications. Good explained, “We thought our drug was different because not only does it work peripherally in the lung, it works centrally at the brain, which mediates coughing and breathing.” The company is now targeting three key areas: interstitial lung diseases (including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, or IPF), refractory chronic cough (RCC), and other neurological cough conditions. Following promising Phase 2a results in RCC—an area where many previous drug candidates have failed—Trevi is preparing for a Phase 2b dose-ranging study. If successful, only one pivotal study may be required before regulatory filing.
