A "dead cat bounce" is when a stock has been falling hard for awhile and get's a knee jerk re-action, up
A good example would be gmed yesterday.

This is a bounce down off resistance. Accompanied by a couple nasty gaps.

In other wordds, this would only be a "dead cat bounce" in you were short the stock

The thing about gaps is that they always fill eventually.
Esspecially on a stock with an o/s like gtel

Watch to see if todays high breaks. We may get a fill when a pr comes out
