With all due respect hogdog you are incorrect in your statement. The SEC - Enforcement Division, through the Dodd/Frank Act and others will investigate any public company for reported crimes irregardless of any potential for monetary gain. They are a Federal Law Enforcement Agency not bail bondsmen. You however are somewhat correct as their is always an SEC gain in the end and that is usually remitted to them through fines, asset receivership etc.
