Let me make sure I have this correct: Drive down the share price by dumping shares, in order to force the company to sell itself or its assets (as if potential buyers are unaware of the market valuation of the company in their negotiations)in a fire sale---in order to enhance the value of the company.

Here. Let me help you out old bean. Freely's suggestion was not made in order to enhance the value of the company. It was a tactic suggested in order to get the IP into anybody else, BUT the company's hands, ASAP. It assumes destruction of CORX as a solvent entity.

Or to take your illustration further, it would be as if the shareholders formed a roadblock at the one mile mark and forced the tired, delusional, old flabby runner back to the starting line and to give his shoes to the eager, young buck waiting to run and win the race.
