I've had all kinds of study Bibles.

I've worn out two Ryrie study Bibles and I'm on my third Ryrie now. NAS

Then I have a NIV study Bible that is only semi worn.

I have a Prophecy Bible by Grant Jeffrey that is showing wear. KJV

I have a Archaeological Bible that is so so. Haven't read it much.

But you're looking at a person who loves The Picture Bible for children. I try to read that one once a year.

Halleys hand book is really good. I'd go with the Ryrie.
(He's a semi Calvanist)

The NIV Study Bible is good, but Ryrie is better. More details. Like I said. I'm on my third one. I thump my Bibles. I looked at McArthur (sp) and no thanks...for me.
Good Luck :)
