That's a lot of dough, it must be said. Gross a million times over, quite literally.
So what wins in the end I wonder? Pork barrel politics for LLEG and its supporters (who may not even have a continuing interest in the Burgess project, for all they know)or the interests of the consumer?
Sadly, I guess we know the answer to this one already - I can hear the "oink oink" from the relevant parties as I write.
