You are 100% correct trader. Many will ask me why they shouldn't they buy a gold mining stock in place of physical metals (I deal in precious metals). I tell them that the price of gold or silver has nothing to do with the mining stock's pps. When you buy stock in a mining company you are investing in them as a company and not what they are mining. They have to generate revenue in their company in order for their stock to go up.

So, the bottom line is exactly what Tradersrule said,the price of gold makes not difference in the share price of SNEY.


Just to clarify what I was said about owning physical gold. I am all for owning stocks and playing the stock market as long as one has protected their paper assets with physical gold and silver. When hyperinflation hits us full force the gold will counter act the depreciation of our paper dollar. This is why so many are buying all the gold they can get, like China. With our deficit out of control and inflation already hitting at the grocery store, we must protect what we have. People need to wake up! Gold is not getting more expensive, the US dollar is dropping. For anyone to think we are in a recovery and we will be ok needs to watch this video of Tim Geithner saying the Presidential Budget is UNSUSTAINABLE! And yet our so called president signed off on it without question. A collapse from within our govt is intentional and by running up our deficit in which it is impossible for us ever to pay could only be done for one reason, once our dollar and economy have collapsed from within a new form of govt is introduced such as Socialism or Communism. This is how the super power the Soviet Union was taken down by all of us countries. We all contributed and caused it to collapse from the inside. This is what is going on now. Remember, Presidents are selected, not elected.
