Well, I remember that investor who bought the bottling company. He checked the first few, biggest, contacts and not the rest. The first few were legitimate and the smaller ones weren't. It's natural to check the first few and seeing that they are fine - not to bother with the rest.

I would prefer if she was more random in her testing, however, as you say, she verified enough from the first few companies, 14K, to challenge muddies 12.5K total.
