Ever heard of DatPiff? It’s a site you can go to and download mixtapes created by DJs and artists for promotional use. It’s free…they don’t sell tapes and they don’t charge for any of the downloads. It’s a way for new or well known artists to get new music out to the masses in order to hopefully get new fans and have their songs heard. If you aren’t a fan of rap, this site probably isn’t worth checking out, though.

On Valentine’s Day, several new mixtapes were released. “Today was a pretty big day for mixtapes, especially valentine’s themed ones,” commented Mr. Marcus Frasier, CEO of Idle Media, Inc. “Our promotional efforts are in overdrive.”

DatPiff re-skinned the home page of the website in dedication to the world premiere release of Diddy Dirty Money’s ‘Love Love vs Hate Love’. Diddy Dirty Money, founded by Sean “Diddy” Combs, Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper is signed to Combs’ label Bad Boy Records.

“We’ve never dropped this many exclusives in one day,” stated Mr Frasier. “It’s certainly been a challenge making sure each release got the promotion they deserved. We’ve expanded the homepage to better spotlight all the artists we’ve premiered today, and will be sure to take situations like this into consideration for the future, as we have plans to work exclusively with many more artists and DJs.”

I checked out the site, and it’s pretty cool! You can see if there are any mixtapes made by rappers that you like and download them. If it sounds like your kind of thing, check it out!
