You can trade all you want to. The question is when can you reuse the money. In daytrading, you can reuse the money immediately, over and over. It's a no no though to use more than the orignal starting amount for the day at any one time. Now technically I think (haven't read the actual SEC rules) your broker is suppose to in a cash account make you wait for settlement of the funds before reusing them, which is three days, but most brokers ignore that. Yours only makes you wait until the next day. Some I hear will let you reuse it the same day, which the SEC frowns upon. I never heard what Ameritrade and Datek agreed to with the SEC on how they were going to handle that.
