Britania, I own no stock in this company or have any financial interest in this company. I discovered this company when I was doing internet research on universal cancer markers. I began to post on the boards when this company began to make ridiculous claims.

First and foremost with this company, you should examine the product. Go back and read all the exchanges between myself and future doc. We are talking about the sensitivity and specificity of the test.

Now, pay attentiom to this. Specificity is based on how many "normals" test positive with higher levels of FDP.

To make the specificity higher, they took the normal group of those without cancer and they removed from testing any of that group who had any condition that would have a higher than normal level of FDP. Heart disease, GI disease, GU disease and other conditions. That gave them a specificity of 95%, a totally manipulated number.

The very same product was launched in 2001 and got a real bad rep for false positives right away. All distributors ceased selling the product. Is the new version going to be any better? In a conference call, management stated that it would not need a new FDA application so it does not vary more than 5% from the current test. Would that make it good enough? NO, not at all.

So if the test is that bad for screening, why are they pushing it so hard as a screening tool? The CEO makes $500 grand and when Jade blew up in their face, the only options left were to push Onko Sure or declare chapter and go out of business.

Does the current test monitor CRC well? If you look at the one condition you really want to know about, the cancer spreading, it is only 7% better than a flip of a coin. That may have been OK for the FDA but it sure is not a test doctors can rely upon. That is why the FDA said it could augment but not replace the current standard of care.
