Got it. So, there is no way out for the shorts. They owe the dividend no matter what. But, others still have the chance to buy and will get the dividend. Interesting.
I'm thanking my lucky stars that I'm not short right now. I don't think there is any way out of this one. My guess is that sndh will approach $25 a share before this is over. I'd advise shorts to try and cover. Of course, I think they have, they just can't get shares. This explains the constant rise in prices since the announcement.
This is historic, folks. Looks like some German money is being repropriated.
