A sign of a bad economy. How many of the people getting food stamps are in this country illegally, and how many are drug addicts? I'm in favor of food stamps for the truly deserving.

IMO, the deserving should get $250-$275 a month in food stamps. All meds should be free. Call me a socialist on the medicine issue, I don't care.

Every CITIZEN should be able to get food and medicine. If that is not the case, U don't have a civilized society. And providing these things is excellent economic policy. I don't want to live in a country where people are hungry and cannot afford the medicine they need while others have to have stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. $%@&*
