Cannabis is illegal all over Australia under Federal Law, although some States have decriminalised it. There is however, an active underground movement that serves the purposes of compassion in lieu of formal dispensaries. There is one fellow who is taking it to the man and he is the one Dr Bob is coming to see in Oz, apart from speaking at MardiGrass and the Law Reform rally in Nimbin. I won;t say more on that.
