because of the fact that I am not an american, I disagree that the US is the greatest country in the world. your healthcare alone gives me the creeps.

we in europe have 'free healthcare for everyone'. we all pay taxes and a huge piece of that flows back towards health care. we don't need to pay 1000 bucks/month just to have health insurance. our government takes care of that and about 1500 euro/year per person goes to the health care. we have one of the best systems in the world which, in my opinion, is a important condition that must be in place before a country can be great.

it distrurbs me that there is so much debate about obamacare and a lot of people are against it. but in other evolved countries, mainly europe and even canada, we are shocked that in the US, the biggest economy in the world, people who are sick and need the medication the most, are left out because they just can't afford a doctor.

just my 2c, besides that there are numereous other reasons why the us is not the greatest country in the world but the same can be said of any country. perfection is not something we can achieve but only something we can try to approach
