Established as a Colorado exploration and mining company in 1864, Franklin Mining and Mill Co. worked multiple claims north of Idaho Springs, Colorado. Reorganized in 2003 as Franklin Mining, Inc. In September 2007, Franklin Mining Bolivia entered into a joint-venture agreement with Corporacion Minera de Bolivia (COMIBOL) and Cooperativa Minera INTI, Ltda to develop mining at Bolivia's Escala Mina I. In May 2010, the company expanded its participation in a joint-venture with Houston, TX based Raptor Ventures, LLC to include operating agreements for three privately owned mines located in Bolivia's primary antimony belt. Franklin continues to own non-operating mines in Colorado.
Note: The last sentence. As Colorado heats up again with gold fever. The non-op mines may well become operational soon. Either someone will buy them or form another JV in Colorado, USA! JHHO
