Actually, the reason why JBII's diesel is of higher quality than what comes from the refineries is that the hydrocarbons in the plastic were already refined from a refinery. JBII refines them again, so of course their fuel is better than refinery fuel because it IS refinery fuel. One can describe it as twice refined.

Crude oil has some nasty crap in it like sulfur. Much of the sulfur is refined out and made into products such as plastic. Then JBII takes the plastic and refines it again. So it's not exactly a mystery why their fuel is more pure.
