Did they say “no you cant”, or did they just warn you that you were placing an order on a ridiculously high ask?

There is a difference.

I have placed high sell orders on certain pinkies that were running to lock up my shares.

At the time, my broker gave me a warning that my ask would exceed 1 Million Dollars.
