How about an image of a oil barrel with a crude oil chart overlay on the top of one of the three boards?

How about the link to the story being the chart and image of something which represents the commodity?

A brick of gold with a chart overlay and 3 words of verbiage underneath like "gold up $2.59"?

How about single words like CPI, PPI, GDP, unemployment, fed funds, 10 year treasury with chart overlays and links to the last report and date of the next report?

How about using more images and less words?
