I think you have been filling up at the wrong gas station. A 700% tank due to whatever reason is not chicken liver. (.03-.008 in 9 months) Most experienced investors have painfully learned that for the most part "The Street" seems to know what's happening. Why do you think most pros do not use that falacious tactic of "averaging down?" Tumors grow too!
