I thought they improved the computer system stuff so no Flash crash could happen again.. ( I may be wrong). I would bargin to go with the next scenario.. Market in waves, rinse wash repeat...

The big boys make money on the way up and on the way down. The second scenario gives them opportunity for bigger gains IMO then just moving up slow and steady.

but what F do I know?
