Wi-Fi Boingo Files For Public Offering $$$$

(AP) LOS ANGELES (AP) - Boingo Wireless Inc., which runs Wi-Fi hotspots in airports and other public locations, is laying the groundwork for an initial public offering.

The Los Angeles-based company filed early paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

Boingo said it intends to use proceeds from the IPO for working capital and general corporate purposes, including potential acquisitions.

The company expects to trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "WIFI."
