can the law stand on it's own without including the mandate to buy?

well the mandate to buy is what creates the opportunity to make pre-existing conditions a thing of the past... so i don't think so

so it looks like benz will continue to spend ridiculous amounts of his tax dollars on uninsured folks showing up at our emergency room and trauma centers because they ate too many twinkies while sitting on their fat asses watching "Survivor" or "Jersey Shore"
