I'm thinking that the PR concerning the big aqusition can be broke up unto 2 PR's. One stating that all the paperwork has been completed and give a date (maybe a week later) that would describe the details and release who exactly the aqusition is with. Seems like this would catch some eyes before the information is actually released. imo
