The dollar, yen and Swiss franc advanced for a second day against the euro as political turmoil in Egypt spurred demand for the safer assets.
The dollar rose to $1.3583 per euro as of 5:55 a.m. in Tokyo from $1.3611 in New York last week. The yen rose to 111.43 per euro from 111.77 and the Swiss franc advanced to 1.2796 from 1.2821.
