John Malone is NOT an environmentalist. He is quite conservative, but he loves pristine, undeveloped land. I don't know him personally, but I've done a fair amount of work for him at his home in Colorado, and what I understand about him, he would allow routine forestry operations to continue because it is good land management. It appears he even stated that in the article. I think this land purchase will have no impact on Berlin.
