15:35 ET Research In Motion ordered to pay $23.1 mln in patent dispute (RIMM) 15.18 halted: -- Update -- We are hearing from traders citing Bloomberg that RIMM was ordered to pay $23.1 mln in damages for using NTP's patented technology. (Note that Forbes said NTP had asked for $28.9 mln, so the fine is less than expected, but the real wild card is whether NTP will pursue an injunction that would prevent RIMM from continuing to sell Blackberrys... see 11:16 comment.)
