On the day of the announcement he's all geeked over the addition of some lawyer. He buys. Later he finds out who it is and he's double geeked. Then some weeks later he says the only reason he bought was because of the lawyer and uses his name.

You think that "proves" he knew the lawyer's name on June 4?
