Marathon announced that it had made a deal with NIR for funding of up to a million in credit, with an initial infusion to be done immediately.
A quick look at the last financials filed by Marathon on Jan 17, 2011 for the Sept 30 ending of 2010 shows no reference to the above article. Did the funding not go through, or did Marathon just fail to mention the funding in its financial statements for the period of concern.
A very interesting few days before the anouncement of the NIR funding, the PPS began a run, going from a close of .0031 on the 8th of Sept of 2010 to a high of .0229 on the 22nd of Sept. The following day of the anouncement of the NIR loan, the price went from a open of .0178 to .0180 then to a close of .008. Seems that several things happened here, the possibiity of insider information being used in trading, and the effect of NIR's toxicity at the announcement. The stock is currently trading at about .004. Anyone wonder why HLNT wants to get away from NIR? I think it is quite obvious.
