Conversion: I Waited till the last minute...
Let's see what happens; here's the story

Called etrade, customer service agent today, who understood DWAC and I initiated a transfer request. I had to call Island Transfer to get a DTC number for the transfer (shouldn't that have been included?).

I initiated the transfer today, so I'm banking on the fact that since it was initiated today, even if it takes etrade a week to complete, I'm still qualified.

Gets confusing after that. The Island instructions say:

2. Once shares are transferred back into your name in our system, we can issue you a statement for the purpose of obtaining a Medallion Guarantee Stock Power. Therefore please provide us with you email or fax # on where we can send it.

But, they don't tell you which form to complete, or how to get that information to Island...
There is a form attached that has no title, but begins: Via Telefax. Did any of you do that as a second step?

Anyway, I've written the designated contact (abby) via email and will hopefully get an answer.

Did anyone else have a similar experience with etrade?
