Serge is no longer an insider, but still has an advisory role with the company. They have an agreement which precludes any transfer of priviledged information to him. Add to that the fact that if he had waited till the next day he would have made 5X what he got from those sales.
The tone of your message suggests he did something shady and I do not think that is the case.
