I have a dream! I’m dreamin’ that someday SGCP will hire, at least part-time, a Public Relations Consultant to help them with public communications! But that’s not THEIR dream, and I believe I know why.

Many decades ago I worked an entry level position in a very small start-up computer company in Silicon Valley. We had less than 100 employees at the time. I was on the assembly line, and we experimented with the process and took ideas and suggestions from engineers or anyone else that came by with an idea. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t.

We were extremely successful and massive expansion started. And we went public. Soon the ‘suits’ were coming in and telling us what we could and couldn’t do. Our process had to be documented, and posted and assemblers had to learn how to fill out charts at their work stations and us managers had to write them up for being ‘out of compliance’. We hated it! But we had to do it to become ISO compliant and to keep the SUITS happy.

Doug and John are a very small company that wants to continue to do things their way, without telling anyone anything. We (now I’m one of the SUITS!) want to know every detail about the company. Our dream is to have all the facts, their dream is that we leave them alone and let them get the job done and they’ll tell us when they feel it’s time to tell us.

These are our options: buy, sell, hold, e-mail, and call. I still have faith that EVENTUALLY we will be reading a PR that tells the WORLD production numbers and then I’ll see a huge upward PPS movement. So I’m holding on to what I have, and may even add some more next week if the PR hasn’t come out by then.

They have our money, we have our expectations.

But geez John, would have hurt to tell us WHAT the agreement with the JV actually IS? What is the split with them? Who are they and why don’t they want to use the dredge for their own mining? And why wasn’t the “maintenance” done while waiting for the rivers to recede? How long does it take to move a dredge? A day to pack it up, another to move it, and a 3rd to launch it, or is it several weeks time?

No, I don’t want to call John and ask my questions because it doesn’t really matter what I know and what I don’t know. They already have my money. What matters is what the whole fricken world knows! That’s how the PPS will move and after all, that upward movement is why we have all put our money here. I still have faith that it WILL happen.

RGI is STILL in my future, and yours as well.
