Tengion, Inc. Completes Initial Public Offering

Tengion, Inc. announced the completion of its initial public offering of 6,000,000 shares of common stock at a price of $5.00 per share. The net proceeds of the offering to Tengion, after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses payable by Tengion, were approximately $26.0 million. In addition, Tengion has granted the underwriters a 30 day option to purchase up to an additional 900,000 shares to cover over allotments, if any. The joint book running managers of the offering are Piper Jaffray & Co. and Leerink Swann LLC.
