It seems pretty apparent to me the Tullow PR folks had to have a serious meeting with the bosses to figure out what their standard response would be to the ERHC question. I don't for a minute think that the wording was hastily chosen.

Why else would they go back and send a new e-mail to the folks that they originally replied "no comment" to a couple of days earlier? If the rumor had no substance, they would just say no comment and leave it at that.
