That's the best plan for a day trader. lol I've been continuing to educate myself on day trading. It's a lot to fit in, because I always have a huge backlog of work that ties me up, but I'm getting more and more knowledgeable all the time.
I like Vectorvest's style of swing trading, but I want to day trade, so that's been my sole focus for over a year now.
I believe you use Scottrade as I do. I love Scottrade, but they don't offer e-mini S&P 500 futures or the TRIC or TRIN of the NYSE. I believe these are vital to fully work the strategy I've developed.
I'm looking at direct access brokers now, but each one has something I don't like about it. I don't know if there's another way I could receive these three quotes live without a broker that offers them. All the parts of my plan have to work. Getting there is proving to be a challenge.
Do you use an air card in case of a power outage or do you have a backup power supply? I think it would be good for getting out of a trade, but I think using it while receiving live feeds would be costly. Can't get a straight answer on that either. The supposed techs don't know anything. It's good to use both DSL and cable in case one goes down, but an air card would at least get you out if you don't have a backup power supply.
