As far as the patent goes, it is in relation to the assembly of the wind turbine blades. That's it. You can't patent a helical shape wind turbine as it has been around forever. So it would prevent people from duplicating the assembly method.

Patents are great, but look at the Iphone. It didn't keep all the droid devices off the market. It's about value and service to the customers that make or break products-not patents.
