YES YOU CAN. "LOCK YOUR SHARES"
Everylong that reads this I urge you to please set sell limit orders @ 20 or 30 dollars or as high as your electronic broker will allow.
By setting the sell orders your shares are reserved specifically to fulfill yoour pending order and it cannot be borrowed to be used as a shot share or shares.
