Green Star Energies Appoints Richard John as Technical & Drilling Advisor

Green Star Energies is pleased to appoint seasoned oil & gas professional Richard John as the companies senior technical and drilling advisor. Mr. John will be working with management on developing infield opportunities and evaluating new acquisition targets.

Richard John - Technical & Drilling Advisor
Richard John has been in the oil & gas exploration and production industry for 22 years. Throughout his career he has run casing, was a thread representative, roustabout, rough neck, derrick hand, and a driller working for various companies throughout the USA. As a drilling supervisor, Mr. John has been responsible for daily reports submitted accurately, all daily operations including calling out casing crews, cement crews, BOP testers, trucking bids on all of the rig moves.
For the last two years Mr. John has been a drilling consultant for Chesapeake Energy. Prior to that, Mr. John was with XTO Energy where he was involved in drilling directional / horizontal wells from 8,500 – 11,000 feet in the Barnett shale. This included horizontal laterals that were drilled from 1,900 ft. – 4,000 ft. long. While employed with Devon in East Texas, he was responsible for drilling Travis Peak and Cotton Valley Wells where some wells were directional, and some were vertical. While employed with Nabors Drilling USA, as a tool pusher Mr. John was in charge of all daily operations, morning reports, rig crews, safety, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
Prior to these positions he served in similar capacity for companies such as Entech, Grant Prideco, Weatherford Enterra, Wilrig, Chiles Offshore Africa, Offshore Casing, ASW / Sundowner.
