Morris storm warning: Several inches of snow, followed by sleet, freezing rain

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning, beginning tonight at 10 p.m. and lasting through 4 p.m. Tuesday.
The storm - a combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain - is expected to drop 3 to 6 inches of snow over Morris County, followed by sleet and freezing rain that will coat the fresh snowfall with a frozen glaze.
Snow is expected to begin falling between 10 p.m. and midnight, mixing with and changing to sleet and freezing rain between 7 and 10 a.m. The precipitation is expected to change to plain rain as temperatures rise above freezing on Tuesday afternoon.
The National Weather Service advisory warns that travel is expected to be slow and difficult during the Tuesday morning commute.
AccuWeather.com is reporting that the brunt of the icy storm is expected to occur in the region that stretches from the Poconos and North Jersey - including Morris County - to the lower Hudson Valley in New York, western Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Areas in this region could experience a glaze of ice 1/4-inch thick or more, thanks to a low-level, northerly flow of cold air, AccuWeather.com reports.
