JBII CC -- A FEW TIDBITS OF INTEREST:

(1) JBII = first in New York history to have a factory be allowed to run full blown commercial operations while awaiting a solid waste permit.

(2) Fuel quality has been tested and certified by InterTek and Petrolab.

(3) Costs are dirt cheap.
--$30/ton for residue ($12 per day or .50 per hour)
--off gas fuels the system. Worst case is $7/hour to run. $5/hour electricity at most.
--two employees to run TWO machines at $25/hour each
--plastic free (obviously)
--grand total $37.50 per hour per machine ($7.50 per barrel?)

(4) JBII processes plastic that would be otherwise sent to the landfill. (examples -- car parts, agricultural film, carpet shavings, product packaging which are all industrial plastics) <~~~~plastics that are NOT recycled due to additives or contaminates (mixed plastics). JBII processes plastics that industrial customers pay to send to the landfill. JBII is not interested in any plastics that have any market value and/or have to pay for. They basically spelled it out -- their feedstock is either dirt cheap, free, or paid to take it.

(5) Emissions are less than that of a natural gas furnace.

(6) Competitive "attempts" have all been a miserable failure. Low fuel value, high cost of energy, explosion risk, $6 million+ expensive investments. The NY DEC has nicknamed other competitive "pyrolysis" attempts prior to JBII as "paralysis"

(7) Undergoing a full and final environmental audit with Waste Management, Inc. to bring them on board.
