I think he wants fame and fortune, really meaning the same thing you said about marketing himself. (That old love of money thing.)

I read a book about Jim Jones and his cult and apparently Jim started out as a for real minister. I really don't know much at all about Rick Warren, but his followers should be careful. They need to wake up and get out.
