tvmetguy...I also could care less what company has signed up for the tickers. I think the whole ticker campaign should've been put out to pasture long ago. But the reality is that any client signed up for anything (ticker, keyword, etc) is important to have. The rub, here, is that the method of payment is suspect. And that is what then throws doubt on the numbers in the fins in general. The lack of any company willing to actually "pay" in real money for our service, great as it is in my eyes and many others here, is, frankly, more than worrisome.

The whole idea of Vanity keywords replacing numbers etc is a cause I was championing endlessly for months on end. Now it is finally becoming a reality only to leave me extremely concerned on the direction and overall thought-out-ness of the plan regarding Twitter. Biggest mistake that better get corrected before launching? THAT TWITTER USERS HAVE TO USE THEIR TWITTER ACCOUNT NAME AS THEIR VANITY WORD. This is a HUGE disaster. If there's anything Ike has learned these lasts few months, it better be this: Listen to GOIG shareholders, many of whom which seem to have a lot better idea of what to do, where to go, and how to get there than he does. DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT, require Twitter users to use their Twitter account name for their Vanity word. Allow Twitter users TO PICK ANY VANITY NAME THEY WANT as long as it is a non-registered, non-obviously-business related name.

Oh, and getting Twitter's mgmt to be in on this, well, that might be importatn too !
