I own a few myself. Most legitimate people have implemented an accounting system that can spit out updated financials as fast as you can stroke a computer key. This is 2011, no 1950. I can assure you I can spit our updated financials on a daily basis. Certainly anyone expecting the public to take them serious would have updated finacials prior to a merger. Do you want someone running your business that cant give you updated financials on a timely basis? That is a sure fire way to lose control of your business, not knowing where you stand.
