TSTC - One of the primary arguments in TFF article, was the validity of Quell Corporation in Houston. The heading was: "THE FLAGSHIP PARTNER THAT DIDN'T EXIST" I personally doubt TFF made any attempt to contact the company. We had a few CGS posters contact the company months ago and the company was very excited about the successful results of the Telestone install.
Of course it didn't take but a few hours to get a hold of the Quell CEO, David Ballard to respond to the allegations. Here's a copy of an e-mail from lbcamera:
Thanks for the interest in our position in the news flash that has recently caused so much attention. TSTC is doing business with Quell as a local US company to facilitate the installation of cellular indoor services for US businesses. We have been doing business as Quell for a little over 2 years but have only been incorporated for about a year. It took a year to introduce the product and start business operations. We incorporated when we found a business that needed our service and product. This first installation was the one mentioned in the news report calling it a contract "a hospital". The hospital requested that we not mention their name because we had not installed anything previously. The first installation is complete and working well with the 4 major carriers connected and with no complaints from them, in fact the employees in the hospital and the carriers are surprised that it works so well. The hospital has released us to use their building name. (Memorial Herman @ Gessner Tower) is the first building on the first campus to be installed. We are now beginning the work on the other three buildings on this campus and when complete will start work on the remaining 8 campuses in Texas. This is a little wordy but I hope it explains the condition of WFDS in the hospital (Memorial Hermann) mentioned.
David Ballard is also the President of Axis Engineering, Inc.. "Since it was founded in 1982, Axis Engineering Inc. has provided civil engineering services to the public and residential construction industry as well as the telecommunications industry."
This is from the Axis Engineering website in regards to communication projects:
Axis Engineering has an extensive background in the civil, architectural, and structural design of cellular communication sites. Our services include complete construction documents, permit acquisitions, and construction management.
Our past projects include monopole, self support, and guy tower sites in all areas; build-outs of cellular equipment rooms and roof top installation on existing office towers, strip centers, and warehouses; cellular sites built in powerline structures; and internal wireless loops to cover the interior space of high rise buildings. We have also done complete engineering and architecture on switches.
The staff at Axis Engineering prides itself in being able to find creative and viable solutions to difficult installations as well as integrating “off the shelf” products into our site designs. We provide solutions for cellular installations that satisfy both cellular companies and the governing authorities.
David Ballard went on to respond on the YMB (dv_ballard, profile not hidden) to concerns about the two companies:
I think this proves every false allegation in that section.
