Thanks you guys, for all of your input on this issue.

The plot is really thickening. SAIC has done work with Virgin through Telcordia. We don’t know for certain that Telcordia has been working on the WordRegistry, but I think the odds are pointing, thata-way.

Le-bon ton-roule, when you visited the Telcordia booth at CTIA did they have anything to say about NEOM, and the WordRegistry?

As Smoke20 said, “Why did SAIC sell Telcordia”? I have been contemplating different scenarios. My thoughts only involve conjecture. I don’t know the answer. Was the SAIC parent company management cognizant of their possible potential? The companies that bought them out were already on Telcordia’s board of directors, they probably know the answer to these questions.

Now from what I believe I’m hearing from you guys, do you think that SAIC still holds the controlling interest in Telcordia? Will they let Telcordia go public, and make a ton of money, and then sell their interest? Is that what you are getting at?

My DD sometimes involves, dumb luck DD. Here’s an example; Last week I was calling Verizon Wireless about my cell phone service. The person on the other end of the line was talking from Phoenix, and he noticed I had a 602 area code (Phoenix), since I worked on a contract at Honeywell, and still have the 602#. So we started into a long conversation, including, do you know about NeoMedia, and to my surprise he said, “YES”. Not what you might think. This is what he said, “ One of my friends told me about NeoMedia. He’s a software engineer working for Lockheed Martin. He and other software engineers went to New Jersey to work on a project for NeoMedia”.

SAIC has worked with Lockheed Martin a lot, and guess what, Telcordia is based in Piscataway NJ. This along with knowing that Telcordia is probably SAIC’s major player in telecom, and the wireless field, and being at CTIA, makes them the most likely entity from SAIC to be working with NEOM on the WordRegistry project.

Telcordia is mentioned at the bottom of the Lockheed article, possibly implying a connection to Telcordia. I don’t know if this is an example of a real connection to Telcordia, or just a boiler plate reference from SAIC that mentions Telcordia, since the same reference was done in the SAIC/NEOM PR. This would indicate that Telcordia was not actually the target. Is this getting confusing, or what? LOL

This is just my speculation, so I wrote a note on NEOM’s web site with the questions about who at SAIC is working on the project, and if Telcordia is, and how this will work out. Will Telcordia continue the project? I haven’t received word back from NEOM yet. Now, I suspect I probably won’t get any word, at least not until the quiet time is over with. Eh.

THE PLOT THICKENS!!!

PS. I’ve decided to refrain from using the term, “dumb luck”. I think I will start using, “serendipity”; The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident. Yes, I really like that, it has a nice ring to it, and much more class too. LOL

PS. Spanky check out the Telcordia web site.
