Something that might be delaying a deal with China. This is just me thinking out loud but here are a couple thoughts to ponder: 1. CPTC may have a license to use the trapezoidal shaped conductor but I am pretty sure they are not the assignee of the patent that covers that process. 2. That being the case maybe the company/person who controls the rights to that patent may not be allowing CPTC or the Chinese JV partner to use the trapezoidal wrap. 3. The composite core is a great idea but IF it cannot be wrapped with the trapezoidal shaped conductor a lot of the benefits of the ACCC wire are negated.
