Yes a drop in PPS share would be expected but it also would not be permanent.
An example is PG merge with G. PG stock has taken a beating since the merger was mentioned but I have used it as a time to get more shares in PG. This is for the simple reason that the merger in the long run benefits PG.
This is the same scenerio with Q merging with PV. The benefits are there and the merger will only give Q more good footholds going forward.
